I love springtime. The time of year when the cold snow is left behind. Grass begins to grow. Buds of tress seem to pop out over night Peepers sing their cheerful song (this year their song has been unusually loud).
You never know what the weather will be like from day to day or even moment by moment. This morning consisted of hail, a little while later there was more hail, only to finish the morning off with rain.
Spring is a lot like life. We never know what will happen from day to day. Life goes along like normal when out of the blue a new job position is offered, a family member is diagnosed with cancer, or, after years of marriage you are finally expecting.
We never know when these twists of life will occur. What we can do is praise The Lord, trust The Lord no matter the circumstances or storms.
Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” This has long been one of my favorite verses. It is one I recited in preparation for my brain surgeries, I repeated it throughout college, when making job decisions this was one of the verses I relied upon.
When life acts like the weather of spring and storms of hail come down upon us Christ will be there to strengthen. When we feel like our strength is gone that is okay because He will supply the strength we lack.
