The end of one year and the start of another is one of contemplation for me. It is a time where I consider the accomplishments, experiences, and knowledge gained during the one that is about to come to a close. During this transitioning period I also consider that which I would like to do, learn, or try in the new year.
Have you ever found yourself excitedly scribbling away, writing out all the goals you plan on accomplishing for the new year? The first day, week, maybe even month finds you excitedly working away, taking action, making progress. But then, the excitement is lost and all you are left with is the realization of how much work is required to finish your goals. This is a common scenario for many people; however, this does not have to be the scenario for us during 2017. At anytime, during any year, we can break our bad habits and begin achieving our goals. Sometimes we need a helping hand or an encouraging voice; but, growing, changing, learning, succeeding and enjoying experiences can be part of our lives.
As you cross over from 2016 into 2017 make the decision that this is the year you will achieve the goal long desired. Whether you desire to change your eating patterns, start an exercise program, find a new job, make friends, or take a family trip, 2017 can be the year it is achieved.
Make preparations and create a plan so as to enable you to see your goal through to the finish. Persevere when you feel like tossing it aside. With the right tools, help, motivation, focus, and action the end of 2017 can find you having grown in ways you may have never thought possible. Make this coming year one in which you change, grow, learn, do, and experience. Make this the year your goal is achieved.
