Sometimes life can be a rough and stony journey. The gravel may dig into our hands as we climb up a mountain peak. When we find ourselves slipping and falling, tumbling down, scratches and bruises accumulating, it is easy to become discouraged and sad.

No matter the circumstance though, no matter if life includes death of loved ones, broken hearts, illness and disease, no matter if it finds us weeping as a loved one approaches death, we are never alone. God in heaven is ever near. For those of us who have asked Jesus Christ to save us, admitted that we are sinners and deserve a fiery hell, yet ask for His forgiveness, He saves. Heaven then is our home. When we know where we are going after death, when we know too that our loved ones are saved, death does not have to be bitter. it can be sad, even heart breaking, but there is a peace in the fact we will meet again on the other side of this life. It is when you do not know that they have accepted Christ as Saviour that deep pain and sorrow is present.

We never know how much time we or another has on this earth. Which is why we need to always be an example for Christ. To tell others of His amazing and loving grace, a grace that saves the worst of sinners.

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

God’s love is one of amazement. There is no one who can love us as much as He has and does. No matter how much we love those we are surrounded by, God loves them more. He wants to see them saved more than we ever could, even though we do, a lot.

If you feel yourself travelling a rough path in this life, look up. Get on your knees and cry out to God. He is the only one who can provide the comfort and help needed. When your heart is breaking, or, you have no idea which way to turn, pray to God and follow His leading.

Life can be a difficult road to travel. It is a blessing to know it does not have to be traveled alone. God is near. He hears our every cry. He knows our every sorrow and confusion.

Whatever you may be experiencing today, with Christ, you can make it through. Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
